After the humiliating defeat at the hand of the Indian team, Pakistan cricket team is going through a very rough patch as they have been surrounded with a plethora of controversies. One end, cricket fans are lashing out at the players' poor performance while on the other media is demanding strict action against Pakistan team’s poor show so far.
Similarly, life hasn’t been easy for captain Sarfaraz Ahmed either as he is being under severe criticism due to his strange on-field decisions and antics. However, all is not lost for Pakistan as they still have a chance to make it to the semis. Pakistan’s legendary fast-bowler, Wasim Akram has urged captain Sarfaraz to be brave in decisions if he wants to take Pakistan out of the slump.
"Sarfaraz Ahmed has to be braver and bold. If he is afraid of getting removed from captaincy, he will probably be removed after the World Cup anyway," Wasim said. There have been discussions that Sarfaraz will be relieved from the captaincy if Pakistan fails to reach to the semis. However, Sarfaraz, for now, has the full support of PCB.
