Carlos Brathwaite unleashed one of the all-time greatest World Cup fightbacks to almost lead his team over the line against New Zealand. With their backs against the wall, Brathwaite smashed an explosive century before holing out to deep mid-wicket when West Indies required just 6 runs for victory.
Captain of the Caribbean side, Jason Holder revealed his disappointment for not being able to be on the other side of glory and remarked that Brathwaite, hero of the T20 World Cup 2016 final, needed to churn out such performances regularly.
“The knock he played is not surprising to me. I guess everybody could sit here and agree that we’d love to see that a little bit more often. But that’s the general feeling within the entire group. I think as a team we just need to be a lot more consistent,” Holder desired.
