Australian head coach, Justin Langer made a bold claim on the potential successor of veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni in world cricket. While everyone predicts Rishabh Pant to fill in the shoes of Dhoni, Langer believes England’s Jos Buttler is the new Dhoni.
Langer was full of praise for the English cricketer for his innovative batting skills and ability to dominate innings even in pressure situations. "Jos is an unbelievable player. I love watching him bat. He is the new Dhoni of world cricket," said Langer.
Buttler has been an integral part of the England middle-order and has played an important part in his team’s resurgence in limited overs cricket. He has scored 3728 runs at an average of 41.42 and a strike-rate of 120.25 in 137 matches.
