The Indian cricket team has proved itself to be a strong unit both mentally and tactically in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup as it has delivered every time under pressure. The recent game against Afghanistan showed how good the Indian team is at handling pressure in all departments.
Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin believes that playing high-pressure games in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has helped the Indian cricketers in getting better at negotiating pressure situations at the international level.
“IPL is a tournament where the players have to deal with extreme scrutiny day in day out. The Indian players learn to handle pressure way better than cricketers from other nations and that becomes very important at crucial stages of the game,” he said.
