The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) officials have been giving regular statements regarding the comparison between themselves and their neighbors, Pakistan. Such statements have received mixed reactions from the people, depending upon the side of border they are from.
In a recent statement, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ACB has said that India has helped the Afghanistan cricket community a lot more than Pakistan, however, he did acknowledge the initial support provided by the cricket fanatic neighbors.
“Since we have moved to India, we have achieved big. We were associates and were playing in a lower tier when practicing in Pakistan. Since we moved to India, we are performing well. We have reached a stage where we are playing with the best,” he said.
Moreover, he also revealed that the ACB is currently in talks with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the facilitation of junior team tours in India as well since it is a lot easier to convince teams to visit India as compared to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
