Pace sensation Mohammad Hasnain, after a successful season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), was installed in the national side. Keeping an element of surprise, Pakistan decided to pick the emerging cricketer for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament. However, he is yet to get a game.
All this has frustrated former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq who went on to question the decision of selecting the young player. The cricketer turned analyst believes that team’s management should have trust in Hasnain’s abilities as they picked him on the basis of a good PSL season. Moreover, the Mianwali born was also critical of Shaheen’s performance as he urged the 19-year old quick to hit the right lengths in the upcoming games of the competition.
“I’m really surprised that they picked Hasnain in the final squad for the tournament if they were not confident to play him. Even if we go back to the series against England, he didn’t play many games so I really don’t know the reason of having him in the team,” Misbah argued as he shared his take on Pakistan’s pace battery.
