Shadab Khan sanguine about Pakistan’s semi-finals hopes

Starting their World Cup journey in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament in a bizarre fashion, Pakistan recorded a strong comeback against England. However, they lost the track again before beating South Africa to give themselves some chance of qualifying for the semi-finals of the competition.

While the road to the knock-out stage is treacherous, Pakistan’s skillful all-rounder Shadab Khan is in no mood of giving up as he revealed that his team is confident about making it to semis. The Mianwali born, while reflecting on his team’s journey in the ongoing cricket gala, promised to give his best shot in the forthcoming games of the competition. Pakistan’s next World Cup assignment is taking down an unbeaten New Zealand side on June 26 at Birmingham.

“We know the situation. We will have to win our last three games to harbor any hopes of reaching the semi-finals of the tournament. It’s obviously not easy, but we have the confidence to do it. So, we’ll try to take one game at a time,” the 20-year old added as he discussed Pakistan’s semi-finals qualification scenario.
