Waqar Younis urges Pakistan to play fearless cricket

After being down and out by getting defeated at the hands of defending champions Australia and arch-rivals India, Pakistan got back on winning track by overpowering South Africa in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament. While the road to semis is arduous but this has given the green team some hope of qualifying for the knock-out stage of the competition.

Seeing the green team’s comeback, cricket pundits are backing them to win the remaining games to improve their semi-finals chances. Former Pakistan captain Waqar Younis is no exception as he expressed his wish to see Pakistan winning their remaining games and making the cut.

The 47-year old who is one of the cherished figures of the country recently reviewed Pakistan’s journey in the ongoing cricket frenzy as he urged the unit to play fearless cricket. Waqar opined that the boys in green will have to believe in their abilities and keep playing positively as they did against South Africa. It remains to be seen if the green team overcomes an uphill task to reach the final-four stage of the event.
