Haris Sohail made a strong comeback to the playing eleven after replacing struggling senior batsman, Shoaib Malik. He made his presence felt and exhibited his true class with pure cricketing shots to help his team reach a respectable total against South Africa.
Following his match-winning performance, head coach, Mickey Arthur couldn’t help but praise Haris’ batting prowess and his work ethic. He rates Haris as among the side’s top three batsman and believes that he is reaping the benefits of the hard work he has put on.
“Since he got left out, Haris has worked unbelievably hard on his game – his fielding and his fitness. He got his just reward for that here. I thought he was outstanding and I like seeing players come back like that. That is what we want to try and produce,” Mickey said.
