Not long ago, paceman Hasan Ali was the new bowling hero of the country. With consistent shows, he helped Pakistan win some games including the all-important ICC Champions Trophy 2017 event where he was declared the player of the tournament. However, Hasan’s form started to wither away with time and recently he witnessed himself dropped from the playing eleven.
Pakistan’s bowling coach and former all-rounder Azhar Mahmood recently reflected on the poor bowling form of Hasan Ali. The 44-year old revealed that the young cricketer is low on confidence which is denting his ability to come up with strong performances. However, Azhar has no doubt about the Mandi Bahauddin born coming back strongly.
Enduring a disappointing campaign in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament, Hassan bagged only 2 wickets while leaking runs at a bowling economy of approximately 8 in 4 games. Nevertheless, the Rawalpindi born backed the key player to come back hard as he went on to cite Mohammad Amir’s inspiring comeback. It remains to be seen how quickly the 24-year old rejoins the successful track.
