The 12th edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup is in full flow as competition to the semi-final stage is heating up. With Australia sealing their berth, three spots are left to be captured. Pakistan and England had opposite starts but the two teams have their eyes glued on each other as one of the two units now have strong chances of making the cut.
With England’s qualification on the line, it is hard to imagine a world where Australians won’t put their trolling skills on display. The recent episode included ex-cricketers Dean Jones and Michael Vaughan where former was found taking a dig at the latter’s tweet.
Pakistan’s game against New Zealand held immense significance to England and for that, Vaughan called himself a ‘Kiwi’ for the day as New Zealand’s victory would have eased the situation for hosts. To his dismay, the boys in green were found delivering an elite performance to become the first team to beat New Zealand in the ongoing mega-event.
Seeing all this, Dean Jones jumped forward to tease the former English captain by drawing a parallel between New Zealand and England’s batting department which failed to deliver in their last game. Moreover, the 58-year old applauded Pakistan’s impressive show as he warned all the units against taking the green team lightly.
