Records tumbled significantly when Babar Azam came out to bat against New Zealand in the 33rd match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He not only won Pakistan a game with a magnificent century but also became the 2nd fastest batsman to score 3000 ODI runs.
He achieved this record in 68 innings after Hashim Amla who did it in 57 innings. Babar also joined the list of most runs in a men's cricket World Cup with age under 24. The young batsman has become a star for Pakistan at the top-order.
Cricket fraternity has already started to rate him as one of the best Pakistani batsmen to ever play the game and his records also suggest that he is up there among the top batsmen.
