Indian skipper Virat Kohli is often termed as a modern-day great of the game and he is well and truly on his way to become one of the greatest batsmen of all time, breaking every record with ease.
The 30-year-old cricketer has now become the fastest cricketer to reach 20,000 runs at the international level as he has achieved the feat in 417 innings. Kohli crossed the milestone during his match-winning knock of 72 against the West Indies recently.
The record was previously held by batting legends Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara as they both crossed the milestone in their 453rd innings. Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting holds the 3rd position on the list as he did so in 468 innings for the Aussies.
