Pakistan’s senior all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez is having a mediocre tournament so far where he has not been able to contribute much with the bat. Since making a significant contribution against England, Hafeez is found guilty of throwing away his wicket and to make things worse, his last three dismissals have gone to the part-time bowlers.
Similarly, flamboyant opener, Fakhar Zaman is yet to play any substantial innings for Pakistan. The left-hander is also subject to criticism for poor shot selection against South Africa and New Zealand. The former captain, Wasim Akram has criticized the two batsmen for their faulty shots and advised them to play in a more mature manner.
“You don’t try to take all runs in start off a part-timer, you need to be calm instead of misreading the delivery,” Wasim said of Hafeez's dismissal. He also added that Fakhar Zaman needs to be more mature with his shot selection.
