The support for Asian teams has been electric all throughout the World Cup in England and Wales. Full-house stadiums have been frequently observed whenever any match involving Pakistan, India and Bangladesh has taken place.
Taking note of the passionate support for their teams from Asian fans, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson admitted it was a sight that was nice to witness. Having played in matches against the Asian sides in this tournament, Williamson remarked they were boisterous even when no match was played.
“Pakistan was very loud, Bangladesh very loud. India we didn't even play and they were very loud,” Williamson said. New Zealand will now take on Australia at Lord’s to secure a semi-final berth.
