With the underdogs beating the heavyweights, the race to semi-finals in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament is heating up. Pakistan, after being down and out for the first half of the event, recorded a sensational comeback which has installed them in a strong position to qualify for the final-four stage.
Cricket pundits are relishing the atmosphere as they are giving their predictions about the next-stage of the championship. Recently, former Indian cricketer Murali Kartik has joined the debate where he backed ex Kiwi cricketer Scott Styris’ prediction of Australia playing New Zealand and India locking horns against Pakistan in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
The 42-year old believes that having a strong run with gams against Afghanistan and Bangladesh definitely favors Pakistan. If the boys in green end up winning their remaining games, England will have to beat both India and New Zealand to confirm their semi-final berth which surely is an arduous task. It remains to be seen what the future holds for all the fans.
