Haider Ali; the next big thing in Pakistan cricket?

The Pakistan cricket team has always been quite lucky in the fast bowling department as every team has had a couple of world class pacers at that time, however, the team has struggled to find some quality batsmen in recent past.

Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq are the only young players in the current setup who have come through the system after getting started at the junior level. Otherwise, all other players have either been around for quite some time or have risen through the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The current U-19 squad of Pakistan features some exciting batsmen who have been quite consistent in recent times. Haider Ali is one batsman who has risen through the ranks of junior cricket with flying colors.

The 18-year-old opening batsman hailing from Attock has been the highest run scorer for Pakistan U-19 in the ongoing ODI series against South Africa U-19 in which he has had scores of 60,18,116, and 59 along with a 160 in the practice game.

Soothing on the eye, the youngster seems to be a great prospect for Pakistan cricket as he uses almost all shots in the book to get his team off to a good start with the bat.
