In the game against Afghanistan, Pakistan’s recalled pacer Wahab Riaz delivered a stunning show which helped his side subdue the opponents to keep their World Cup hopes alive. The veteran player carried a fracture in his non-bowling arm and still contributed valiantly towards his team’s cause, which witnessed the cricketing world falling in awe of him.
However, the injury raised a serious question about Wahab’s availability for Pakistan’s last league game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament. Knowing the form and ability of the Lahore born player, it would be a serious a setback for the boys in green if Wahab fails to show fitness for the Bangladesh game.
Despite this, the 34-year old is sitting supremely confident of featuring in Pakistan’s last league-stage contest. Updating on his injury, the exuberant cricketer said that he carried a lot of pain in the Afghanistan game. But, he added that there’s no reason why he cannot do it against Bangladesh. Pakistan will lock horns against a spirited Bangladesh side on July 5 at Lord’s.
