Northamptonshire Steelbacks have signed Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf for the 2019 T20 Blast. The all-rounder, who has played in all formats of the game for his country, will be available for the Steelbacks for the whole of the Blast campaign.
Faheem will depart for England on July 12 while the competition starts in mid-July - immediately after the World Cup - with the group stages finishing on August 30 and Finals Day taking place on September 21.
The 25-year-old was part of Pakistan’s World Cup provisional squad but was dropped from the final squad. It will be the first time that he will represent Pakistan in county cricket. The right-arm medium pacer has played 23 ODIs, 26 T20Is and 4 Tests for Pakistan since his debut ODI debut in 2017 against Sri Lanka.
