Indian captain Virat Kohli has labelled his deputy Rohit Sharma as the world’s best ODI player, ranking him a better batsman than himself. Rohit is currently the World Cup’s leading run-scorer and he was at the helm of another dominant performance from India as he smashed a masterful hundred against Bangladesh.
“I have been watching it for years now. He's (Rohit) the best One-day player around and we are so delighted to see him. When he plays like that, everybody is happy to see him strike this so well,” Kohli spoke in the post-match presentation.
Kohli’s compliment for Rohit certainly speaks volumes of his immense caliber and testifies the right-handed batsman’s match-winning ability over the years. Rohit has already struck four centuries in the World Cup and looks a class apart from the rest of the batsmen.
