Yuvraj and KP engage in Twitter banter

2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh and England’s cricket legend Kevin Pietersen engaged in an interesting battle online as India marched to victory over Bangladesh to seal a spot in the semi-finals. The topic of contention between the two batting greats revolved around Indian opener Rohit Sharma.

As Rohit smashed Bangladesh bowlers to all parts of the ground to become the leading run-getter of the tournament, Yuvraj predicted the star batsman had moved one step closer to achieving the man of the series award.

This comment sparked a reply from ‘KP’, who disagreed with Yuvraj’s point and declared England to be firm favorites for the World Cup title. The recently retired all-rounder then had to remind Pietersen that he was in fact talking about the man of the series award and cheekily remarked that England had to first qualify for the final four to have a chance at grabbing the coveted trophy.
