Bangladesh coach Steve Rhodes has warned his team over a resurgent Pakistan side that would be looking to avenge their 2018 Asia Cup loss against the same opponents. Pakistan had lost that crucial match by 37 runs at Abu Dhabi, crashing them out of the tournament in the group stage.
Rhodes declared his team were confident despite the 28-run loss to India and were looking forward to giving Pakistan a tough time. He also highlighted Pakistan’s exceptional form of late as they have been in the midst of a winning spree which has seen them emerge victorious consecutively in three games.
"I'm really looking forward to that game. I think we beat them in the Asia Cup, and they'll want to change that (Bangladesh won by 37 runs in 2018). We showed in some of the games we played this year that we're going to be a difficult side for Pakistan to beat,” he said.
