Former Indian middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu has retired from all forms and levels of cricket after getting overlooked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on a couple of occasions in recent times.
The 33-year-old ended his career with an average of almost 48 in ODI cricket after representing India on 55 occasions. After having a couple of failures in the Australia series, the team management started looking for Rayudu’s replacements and he was eventually dropped from the side.
Former cricketers and fans empathized with the batsman as they hailed him for being a wonderful servant of Indian cricket over the years. However, they were of the view that a talent like Rayudu should not have been wasted by the BCCI.
