Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has found himself in the middle of a Twitter spat after calling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja a ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer. He had said that he does not like players like Jadeja who can perform in bits and pieces in ODI cricket and he would rather have a proper batsman who could bowl a couple of overs than him.
Jadeja hit back on Wednesday as he posted a fiery tweet in which he called out Manjrekar for his comments regarding his limited overs game. He took a jibe at Manjrekar by reminding him of the number of games he has played for India i.e., way more than games played by the former cricketer.
The all-rounder also urged the commentator to show respect to the players who have achieved something for their country as he said that he has had enough of his ‘verbal diarrhea’.
Manjrekar also posted an aggressive tweet in response, but he soon deleted it after facing backlash from the fans for indulging in a spat at a time when Jadeja is playing for India in the World Cup.
