The modern-day cricket provides great protection to the match officials as players could not argue with them and get away without cooperation. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has made it very clear that not obeying the umpires would result into grieve consequences.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been in a couple of altercations with match officials during the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 which has cost him some precious demerit points. Nonetheless, the skipper would need to be careful in the coming games as he could still get suspended.
Kohli is just 2 points away from getting suspended for a couple of games which is why the next two games are critical for team India as they would not want to lose their captain for the World Cup final or the semifinal.
