Pakistan thrashed team India in the final of IBSF World Snooker Championship Team Event in Doha, Qatar on Friday, defeating the arch-rivals 3-1 only three days after beating them in the Asian championship.
Pakistan pair Asjad Iqbal and Muhammad Bilal defeated the Indian team comprising Pankaj Advani and Laxman Rawat. Upon arriving back to Pakistan after winning, the snooker pair regretted the non-existent support from the Government of Pakistan and demanded the same treatment for snooker like that received by cricket.
Pakistan’s former spin magician, Saeed Ajmal acknowledged the snooker pair’s achievement at the world stage and took to Twitter to congratulate them both. He called them the pride of Pakistan.
