Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has not had a great ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 so far as his sluggish batting has been questioned by the fans and critics on more than one occasion. The veteran is expected to retire from international cricket after the conclusion of the mega event this year.
However, Sri Lanka’s living legend Lasith Malinga believes that Dhoni must play for another year or two since he could use that time to develop players who could eventually replace him in the Indian side.
“He should play another year or two and prepare players who can do the job of finishers on the big stage. He is still the best finisher in world cricket. It will be difficult to fill his shoes and the young players should look to learn from him,” he said.
