Wasim Akram urges PCB to change pitches in UAE

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would need to review a lot of things and take a couple of tough decisions in order to move forward with a clear mindset of developing the young lot of players into a world class team.

The overhauling of domestic system and change of administration has already been initiated as the PCB is looking to form a competitive system which groom players good enough to compete at the international level.

Former Pakistani pacer Wasim Akram has pleaded the PCB to change the nature of pitches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the virtual home of team Pakistan. He said that Pakistani batsmen need exposure to bounce and grass on pitches at home as they seem clueless when they get such pitches on overseas tours.

Wasim said that players should be used to of playing on proper grass back at home so that they could adapt easily when they come to countries like England and Australia.
