Ashwin had the perfect plan to take Pakistan to semifinals

The Pakistan cricket team has been eliminated from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 after it had an almost impossible task of defeating Bangladesh by more than 315 runs in their last group fixture in order to cover up the huge run rate gap with New Zealand.

Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was not sure about the conditions for team Pakistan to qualify so he inquired about the exact margin from his fans to which he got some interesting answers.

One of the fans tried to tease Ashwin by saying that the green shirts could not even pull off a win via mankading, an act which has landed Ashwin in controversies several times during his career, the recent instance being in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019.

However, Ashwin took the taunt rather nicely as he devised a plan for Pakistan to qualify for the semifinals. He suggested the Pakistan team to make 350 runs and then get the 10 opposition wickets by running them out at the bowler’s end i.e., mankading.
