South African allrounder JP Duminy has retired from international cricket at the conclusion of his side’s campaign in this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The experienced player failed to give a single substantial performance for the side throughout his final tournament.
After retiring from Test cricket last year, Duminy wanted to play his final World Cup for South Africa. However, he is still satisfied with his overall performance as a Proteas cricketer over the years even though he could not end it of a high note.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time. Ten years later, it’s not the numbers that you would want to be remembered for, but it’s about the person. Absolutely blessed to have played with so many great cricketers, especially in the last 15 years. It’s time for me to get on the couch and talk s*** about them,” joked Duminy.
