Pakistan's all-rounder duo Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan held a press conference for the first time since returning from their World Cup exit. Pakistan narrowly missed out on a spot in the final four due to the NRR rule, otherwise they would have been in place of New Zealand in the semi-finals.
Reflecting back on the team's performance, Imad expressed his disappointment for not reaching the knockout stage and termed it an unsatisfactory World Cup campaign.
"In my opinion, if you don’t win the World Cup, you have to at least reach the final or semis, so this was not satisfactory," said Imad.
While the other day, captain Sarfaraz expressed his full satisfaction with the team’s performance in the mega-event and said they were unlucky to miss out on the semi-final spot.
