Former Indian batsman turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has become the talk of Twitter in recent times for his row with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. This time around, trouble has doubled for Manjrekar as 2005 Ashes winning skipper Michael Vaughan has begun his insufferable trolling against the World Cup commentator on the Jadeja issue.
Manjrekar had riled up the Twitterati and Jadeja himself when he referred to the left-arm spinner as a “bits and pieces cricketer”. After Jadeja managed to retain his place in the playing XI for India’s semi-final clash against New Zealand, Vaughan caught up in a spat with Manjrekar, continuously reminding him of his unsavory words.
Eventually, Vaughan’s trolling had such an effect that the 53-year-old had to block him on Twitter. Even this did not tone down the ex-England captain’s vicious trolling as he proceeded to mock him using memes and more sarcastic tweets, much to the amusement of Manjrekar’s critics.
