Speaking to the media after returning from the World Cup, opener Imam-ul-Haq has urged the critics to cut some slack for the current Pakistan team, reminding them that the tournament was a first for a majority of the team's young members.
The media personnel questioned Imam regarding Pakistan’s batting failures unlike how some of their Asian counterparts like Shakib Al Hasan and Rohit Sharma have done for their respective countries.
"This was our first World Cup. We are around 24 years old and will take a bit of time to reach that level. It can't happen that you've played 40 matches and are giving match-winning performances like Virat Kohli,” Imam said.
