Babar Azam opens up on captaincy debate of Pakistan

After Pakistan’s early exit from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament, a major bunch of fans sit dissatisfied with skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed who wasn’t impressive in the championship being played in England and Wales. Apart from lapses in captaincy, he failed to score many runs which attracted the backlash.

As per the expectations, there are speculations being made about Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) replacing Sarfaraz. However, the governing body of Pakistan cricket is yet to make any decision. Recently, Pakistan’s batting backbone Babar Azam was questioned about team’s leadership to which he gave a very sensible answer. The Lahore born argued that it is PCB’s matter to pick a skipper, but his job is to continue to get better and better and perform strongly for Pakistan.

“Leading Pakistan team is an honor. However, it is the job of PCB to decide the skipper of the side. All of us are focused towards playing cricket and help our team win in future by improving our skill set,” opined by Babar Azam in a press conference which took place at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
