Pakistan’s premier fast bowler Mohammad Amir experienced a resurgence in form after a brilliant World Cup campaign. A tournament for which he was not even picked in the initial squad, Amir slayed his doubters with his bowling heroics on the field.
Amir finished as his country’s top wicket-taker in the World Cup and was one of the few consistent performers for the side in their first-round exit. Luckily for the left-arm pacer’s fans, he will be in action soon in England’s Vitality Blast representing Essex.
Amir received a warm welcome from the club, who bestowed upon him a County Championship winner’s medal upon his arrival, adding another achievement to his glowing list of accomplishments. Expressing his emotions on the support he has received from Essex fans, Amir remarked he will always be touched by the special jingle they made for him.
