Bangladeshi skipper Mashrafe Mortaza had a torrid time in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament where he picked only 1 wicket in 8 games. However, it would be unwise to forget his contributions towards making Bangladesh a force to reckon in the cricketing world.
With Bangladesh scheduled to tour Sri Lanka later this month, speculations were made on Mashrafe bidding farewell to the International cricket. Nevertheless, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan revealed that the veteran cricketer will get a farewell at home. The 58-year old lauded work ethics and courage of Mashrafe Mortaza with which he led Bangladesh really well and bagged historic victories for the country.
“He deserves a farewell on home soil. Last time when we met him, we cleared that we want to give him a farewell at home. He has always been a fighter and every player of the country should have such mentality,” added by Nazmul Hassan as he opened up about planning a farewell home series for the 35-year old bowling all-rounder.
