Jofra Archer has comfortably been England’s most successful bowler in the World Cup, rattling oppositions with his express pace and vicious bounce. Having made the record of picking the most number of wickets in a single edition of the World Cup for an English bowler, Archer’s bowling exploits have taken a backseat as his Twitter account has become the focal point of attraction.
Apparently, his tweets from the past have seemed to predict quite accurately the events in the World Cup. After his Twitter account’s newfound fame spread like fire in the media, Archer has reacted rather nonchalantly to all the hype regarding his prophetic tweets.
“I've seen it but I don't know why it should be a big thing. It's just social media, that's all it's there for. I used to do it by just watching cricket when I was back home, I wasn't even in England when I tweeted half of those stuff! I think they're just being recycled. Genuinely, some were series, some were World Cups,” he said.
