The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 would conclude on the 14th of July as the 6-week long tournament has produced some exciting cricket for the fans. A couple of young players stepped up at the big stage while some senior cricketers lost their way during their final cricketing days.
A couple of players who had served their countries for decades have either said goodbye to cricket or would do so in the coming few months which means that they would not be seen in World Cups anymore. Players like Shoaib Malik and Chris Gayle did not have a great run their final World Cup while MS Dhoni and Mohammad Hafeez are expected to announce retirement in the next few months after having an average tournament.
Several star players including Eoin Morgan, Ross Taylor, Shakib Al Hasan, and Wahab Riaz played their final ODI World Cup this year as they would not be around in 2023 for the next 50-overs showpiece event.
