The fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) unearthed some sensational fast-bowling talents. However, Haris Rauf of Lahore Qalandars stole the show with his canny death bowling with which he deflated some strong batters of the 20-over competition.
Carrying an inspiring story, Haris emerged on a noticeable platform when he shined in Lahore Qalandars triumph in the Abu Dhabi T20 League. From breaking the gates for entering the trials of Lahore Qalandars to living with a paltry income, life has never been easy for the 24-year old cricketer. However, Haris refused to give up as he pursued his dreams to make it to the iconic T20 tournament of the country.
In his debut edition, Haris baffled many batsmen to end up as the joint-highest wicket-taker for Lahore along with Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane. The Rawalpindi born claimed 11 wickets at 24.27 to announce himself in no uncertain terms. Haris’ four-wicket haul against Karachi Kings was the best of the lot as he delivered on a needed occasion to help Lahore defend a low score against arch-rivals Karachi Kings. The shrewd cricketer is determined to become better with time and get himself registered in the national team of Pakistan.
