Aamer Yamin is one of the most established all-rounders of Pakistan’s domestic circuit. Making his International debut way back in 2015, he played only 6 games for Pakistan till date. Aamer competed with Faheem Ashraf for making it to the Champions Trophy 2017 squad, but the flamboyant cricketer failed as the latter was handled his Pakistan debut.
In his last ODI and T20I for Pakistan, the 29-year old cricketer delivered decent shows. However, for some unknown reason, he was dropped from the national team. Even in the last edition of the Pakistan Super League, Aamer performed efficiently for Karachi but wasn’t able to grab the attention of selectors.
Carrying a laudable striking ability, an uncanny bowling prowess and a splendid fielding skill-set, Aamer appears to be an ideal candidate to play for Pakistan. Nevertheless, he continues to find himself away from the national colors. Putting Faheem Ashraf’s recent failures into the equation, it is only natural to give the Multan born a longer run to allow him to settle in the green team. It remains to be seen if selectors bat an eye towards an extremely capable cricketer.
