Twitter erupts with joy after England win first World Cup

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has produced one of the greatest games in the history of cricket as the final of the tournament tied twice before the England were declared the winners on basis of superior boundary count in the game.

The home side was under immense pressure after losing the top order quite early in the peace, however, Ben Stokes emerged as the hero for England as he took the game deep by batting through and eventually tying the game.

New Zealand had to end up on the losing side as both teams managed to score 15 runs in the super over without the loss of any wicket, boundary count becoming the deciding factor. Nonetheless, the Kiwis showed great fight in what turned out to be the best World Cup final in cricket history.

Former England players were over the moon after their side’s maiden World Cup victory as the commended the efforts of all the people who had worked hard over the last 4 years since the last showpiece event.
