Salman Butt, the left-handed opening batsman, is now majorly known for tarnishing the image of Pakistan with the spot-fixing case. However, like Mohammad Amir, Butt is keen to get another go and represent Pakistan at the biggest stage.
Despite scoring a plethora of runs in the domestic circuit across various formats, the former skipper hasn’t been considered for the national team selection which obviously frustrated him to the core. The 34-year old, while sharing his feelings, questioned the approach of Pakistan’s selection committee who didn’t even pick him for A team tours.
Salman believes that he deserves a second chance for which he has worked very hard. Moreover, the dexterous batsman spoke about the improvements in his game which he wishes to use for the boys in green.
Opening up about his frustration, the Lahore born said, “I was the best batsman of the one-day tournament last year for which I was under consideration for Pakistan A, but due to unknown reasons I was ignored. Then I wasn’t even considered for World Cup. What sort of plan asks you to ignore top performers?”
