Following Pakistan’s failure to reach the knockout stage of the ICC World Cup 2019, the future of both head coach Mickey Arthur and skipper, Sarfaraz is hanging by a thread. The ex-cricketers and media are calling replacements for these two.
Pakistan’s legendary leg-spinner, Abdul Qadir has also joined the critics' of Mickey Arthur. He believes that Arthur made the mistake of dropping many talented Pakistan cricketers.
“Mickey Arthur has ruined Pakistan cricket. He dropped the likes of Ahmed Shehzad, Sami Aslam, Salman Butt, Umar Akmal, Sohail Khan and many others. These were the players had the experience, and performances under their belt, to carry Pakistan team forward,” Qadir said.
The 63-year-old further stated that if there was a disciplinary issue within the team then the responsibility of devising a code of conduct for players also lies with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
