Rohit Sharma makes a comeback in India’s Test squad

India’s heart-breaking defeat in the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament against New Zealand left many fans shattered. However, the biggest positive of the competition was the elite batting form of opening batsman Rohit Sharma whose bat was found spitting fire.

Pummeling bowling attacks regularly, the aggressive batsman went on to amass 648 runs by scoring 5 centuries. To his bliss, Rohit Sharma’s majestic batting outings earned him a comeback in the Test team of India as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced India’s squad for the tour of West Indies where Rohit is a part of all three squads.

While the 32-year old remained an integral part of the white-ball setup of India, Rohit’s batting form impressed selectors to an extent that they decided to reinstall him in the Test squad. The proficient batsman is delighted to get back to red-ball cricket as he aims to make the most of this chance.

India’s Test squad consists of the following players:

" Virat Kohli (captain), Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Lokesh Rahul, Hanuma Vihari, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha (wicket-keeper), Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah "
