Sitting out of the national team for almost 5 years, bowling all-rounder Sohail Tanvir rued to miss out on playing many International games for Pakistan. However, he is still determined to make a comeback in the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup which is scheduled to be staged in Australia.
The 34-year-old recently opened up on his desire to represent Pakistan again as he believes that he still has in himself to shine at the top level.
Tanvir is hopeful to use his T20 experience as the veteran has played over 300 T20 games. Even in the last edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Rawalpindi born played a pivotal role to help his team Quetta Gladiators winning the championship.
“I was obviously gutted to miss out on the World Cup spot. I wasn’t able to participate in the previous two World Cups, 2011 and 2015, on the last moment as well. Now I’m focused on playing the T20 World Cup next year. I’m always tagged as a T20 specialist and hopefully this will work in my favor,” said by Sohail Tanvir as he expressed his wish to don the green jersey yet again.
