Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been included in the national side after his brief stint with the ODI team during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The youngster has been nothing short of impressive in his brief international career so far and he promises to be a great prospect for Indian cricket.
When asked about Pant’s inclusion for the upcoming tour, chief selector MSK Prasad said that the management wants to groom the youngster for all formats as has done nothing wrong to be excluded from the playing XI.
“We want to groom Pant and that is the plan right now. Pant hasn't done anything wrong for his non-inclusion in the playing XI. Rishabh Pant will be playing all the three formats, so we will have to look about his workload management. Saha and KS Bharat will come into picture at some point,” said Prasad.
