Saqlain Mushtaq reflects on Virat-Babar comparisons

There is very little doubt about India’s captain Virat Kohli being the best limited-overs batter of the modern day cricket. Time and again, the run machine’s bat has been found spitting fire. Pakistanis, on the other hand, get inspired by mind-boggling consistency of Babar Azam as they spark debates and comparisons of Babar with Virat.

Recently, former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq shared his two cents on the subject as he highlighted that Virat is way ahead of every other batter. The 42-year old opined that the Pakistanis should not compare Virat with Babar as the former contains a plethora of International experience. Nevertheless, Saqlain lauded Babar’s work ethics as he wished to see him becoming a top brand of Pakistan cricket.

“There exists no comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. Virat has played so many games and lives in a league of his own. Babar himself admires the Indian star which is the right way to go. My best wishes are with Babar as I want to see him becoming better and better,” Saqlain added while reviewing Babar Azam’s progress.
