After a successful staging of inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada, Cricket Canada is confident to see the second season scaling same heights. For this purpose, the drafts experienced the hiring of some megastars of the shortest format of the game.
One of the most noticeable signings included the name of Indian blockbuster all-rounder Yuvraj Singh who announced his International cricket retirement few days ago. After getting clearance from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the 37-year old reached Canada to thrill the fans with his belligerent brand of batting.
Yuvraj shared his excitement for Canada’s T20 frenzy on his Twitter handle as this is his maiden appearance in any overseas T20 league. Moreover, the Chandigarh born also inspired Chris Gayle to embellish the charm of the upcoming 20-over tournament. The Universe boss, like always, sits ready and confident to unleash his batting prowess. Both the hitters will be in action on the opening day of the tournament as Toronto Nationals are set to lock horns against Vancouver Knights.
