Following last week’s International Cricket Council (ICC)’s annual conference, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani has been appointed as the chairperson of ICC’s Financial and Commercial Affairs Committee (F&CA). The responsibility has been given via order of ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar.
Being a Chartered Accountant by profession, Mani has returned to the role which he played 17 years ago as the first ever F&CA Chairman of ICC. The 74-year old performed his duties valiantly as he proved pivotal in commercializing International cricket in 2000. This is evident from the fact that all the efforts of Mani allowed ICC to ink its first ever commercial deal containing a volume of approximately $550 million.
The boss of Pakistan Cricket was found extending his gratitude to the governing body of International cricket who trusted the abilities of Ehsan Mani. The Rawalpindi born will be chairing the committee which includes names of Indra Nooyi, Amitabh Choudhary, Chris Nenzani, Imran Khawaja, Earl Eddings and Colin Graves. Moreover, Shashank Manohar and Manu Sawhney will serve as the ex-officio members.
