Former captain, Inzamam-ul-Haq recently stepped down from his chief selector position. He believes his nephew, left-handed opener Imam-ul-Haq is being unfairly criticized by certain sections of the media.
While sharing his thoughts in a blog published by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Inzamam stated that Imam is an integral part of Pakistan’s team but he is the target of criticism just because of his relationship with him.
“People unfairly single him [Imam] out for criticism, instead of the other 25 players in the squad, because of his relationship with me. Imam is a valuable part of the side which is proven by his average, which is in excess of 50, in ODIs,” Inzamam said.
